A constellation of broadcloth from book covers — different ages, conditions, sizes, qualities, etc. — makes up the blue face. Pages and pages and pages cover the cream face. Pages overlap each other, the presence of deeper layers affecting the line and shape of surface layers. A diaphanous journal entry covers all.
I read the last page, closed the book, and sat there in its wake.
